HATS FOR FOUNDATION Do you have any old sun/baseball hats kicking about at home? If so, Mrs Desborough would gratefully receive any that you no longer use—she really needs some spare hats for the little ones who forget to bring one on the sunny days. Thanks in advance for your support with this. QUESTIONNAIRE RESPONSE Thank you to everyone who replied—it really does help us to know what we are doing well and what needs to improve. The overwhelming majority of responses were very positive. The one question which parents were less sure about was whether or not you are kept informed of how your child is doing. In order to address this, I will be randomly selecting a group of parents and inviting them to come in and have a chat about what we can do to improve this. Thank you once again, as we really do take notice of your views and are always looking at what we can do better.

MEALTIME ASSISTANTS If you would like to be a relief mealtime assistant—covering for sickness, please come in and see Debbie in the office.
WELL DONE To the fun runners who ran on the Hoe on Sunday 24th May. It was a really hot day and they all behaved brilliantly. Thank you to Miss Rankin and Mr Mclean who gave up their Sunday morning lie ins to go up and support the children.

MUSIC TUITION If you would like your child to have/continue to have music tuition from September, please make sure that Miss Rankin has had the reply slip so that she can start to organise the groups. If you need more information please see Miss Rankin and she will be able to give you any extra details. NEW WEBSITE Our website has been redesigned by Mr Willis. Please check it out and see what is on there. The dates for holidays and events for this term are on there—we will endeavour to keep it as up to date as we can.

SCHOOL UNIFORM There are lots of children wearing trainers at the moment. Please ensure that school shoes are worn to school—trainers can be brought to wear at playtimes and for P.E but they look untidy and are not part of the uniform.
Can I also remind you that extreme hairstyles are not acceptable for school. It is stated clearly in the school prospectus. A copy of the school prospectus including the uniform is on the school website or can be obtained at the school office DON’T FORGET—WE ARE CLOSED FOR POLLING DAY ON THURSDAY 4th JUNE.

Look out for further information about parents’ meetings. Staff are starting to go to bed early now in anticipation of a very tiring weekend!
CROSSING PATROLS Just another reminder about the crossing patrols. As you will be aware we have no cover on either road, so please take extra care until replacements can be found by Plymouth City Council.
DESIGNATED PERSON As a school we take the welfare of your children very seriously. If there are any child protection concerns we have clear procedures that we follow. We must have a person who is responsible for the child protection procedures and they are called the Designated Person. Here at Austin Farm, that person is me or in my absence, Mrs Grantham, the Deputy Head. Please do not hesitate to contact either of us if you have any questions or concerns.
